This Colchester Landmark was built in 1465 and is one of Colchester’s oldest Coaching Inns. The historic Grade I Listed Building still has its original Tudor features and wooden beams.
Due to the rigours of time, the original structure requires a helping hand to ensure this fine example of Tudor England remains for future generations to see.
EAP feel privileged to have been given instruction to prepare an appropriate restoration scheme and to supervise the work.
Phase 1 which involves the introduction of additional structural support at ground floor level this is now underway.
Phase 2 will involve the introduction of additional structural support at first floor level with Phase 3 involving major repair to the timber roof carcass.
Further details of how the work proceeds will feature here in the coming weeks.
